Get to Know Ms. Day
This year will be my 25th year teaching at Phillips. I started out teaching second grade, then I taught first grade for six years. I also was a third grade teacher before I began teaching fourth grade. My favorite things about fourth grade are the great books we read, the subjects we study in Core Knowledge, and best of all, the fourth grade students. Here are some things you might like to know about me.

I have also lived in Missouri, Texas, Hawaii, New Jersey, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts. Where did you go to college? My son, Michael, went to Phillips when he was in elementary school. Do you have any pets? I love dogs. My little dog, Winnie is a Pembroke Welsh Corgi. Corgis are herding dogs, and Winnie is always trying to get us to go where she wants. I also have a dog named Chloe. She is a poodle/maltese mix. Both Dogs like to go walking with me. Where do you live? I live on the east side, so don't be surprised if you see me at the grocery store some day. What are your hobbies? I like to knit. I also like to take photos.
